The Date Palm A perfect analogy to describe my belief. It takes eight to ten years for a date palm to give its owner the fruit. It grows only with Allah’s permission and the owner’s dedication to take care of it! I believe we are a work in progress, that no one was created perfect. With the palm date being your challenges and strengthens, the owner being you.

As Muslims, we are encouraged to strive for excellence because that’s what pleases Allah. Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “… Verily, Allah Almighty is excellent and he loves excellence.”

I believe that the more empowered we are, the stronger we will be Insha’Allah. The journey to empowerment is that like a man growing a date palm. It takes patience, reliance in Allah, dedication etc. to see progress, to see change in ourselves and the community at large.
